i am very exhausted by disinformation about the cost of transition healthcare. it costs less than $100 for 1-2 years of hormones, depending on your exact sourcing. presenting HRT as impossibly expensive and inaccessible to people who need HRT but don't know how is equivalent to medical gatekeeping.

Poor costs you. Not just money, not just time, but your mental health. Your capacity for grief and struggle. You burn whatever doesn't have an immediate return to keep the heat on, the lights. Food in your kids' bellies. And in a place like the US, poor costs you social connection. A leg up. Hope.

Instead of building high speed rails the Business Idiots decided speculative investments in a product that relatively few people actually was a better move. Sounds like what happens when you hand the world to B students with MBAs.
