The plan is not to change the rules of Indefinite Leave to Remain, but to abolish it. It can only be ‘Temporary Leave to Remain’ if it can be revoked at any time.
This is all horrifyingly cruel but condition 3 is staggeringly awful: “if P OR dependents of P have been in receipt of social protection”
So just if a *dependent* of someone with ILR gets any sort of welfare benefit whatsoever the original person can have their ILR revoked? This is insanely evil.

I really wish Labour, the Greens and the LibDems would go into a coalition. Reform and the Tories are a minority. If we had PR there would be a centre left Government. No question. But we don’t. So we have to engineer it. The risk of Nigel Farage becoming PM really ought to focus minds.

An someone point me to a study on the reasons migrants choose to leave their homes and risk their lives on small boats? I’m pretty sure that no-one would do this without good reason but I’m also sure the reasons are many. I’d really be interested to see some proper research.

In a massive Australian study, 35% of men admitted to perpetrating domestic abuse.
That’s more than 1 in 3.
So if you’re in a relationship with a man, there is a very high likelihood that he will be abusive.
It’s time to stop focussing on victim statistics. 35% of men have perpetrated DA. 35%.

What’s the modern day cliché you hate the most? I think mine is ‘make memories’, although I also hate euphemisms for death like ‘passed’ and ‘crossed the rainbow bridge’ which also make my eye twitch.
