I like the gospels, mostly. Luke has Jesus telling us the poor are blessed, but Matthew's not having any of that commie nonsense. He claims Jesus said the poor in spirit are blessed. Matthew's no fan of the hungry either. He prefers those who hunger and thirst for what is right. Matthew's a dick.

Why is there an Upper Earnings Limit on National Insurance Contributions? All taxation is available to the government to use as it sees fit so it has nothing to do with health or social security or pensions any more than any other tax. It's a regressive rule.
