So…….I was outraged at the ‘island of strangers’ comment and never bothered to read what he actually said. I’m disappointed in myself. The outrage was media manipulated froth.
I feel similarly uneasy, but I also have a sense that my unease is being preyed on by RW media. The two things are not mutually exclusive. The "island of strangers" quote is a good example. I was swept along by headlines. It was two months after the uproar, that I happened to read the full passage.

Reform UK comment: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson."

But separately?

But we know he met Bannon, who also advised Johnson and Rees Mogg.

So this doesn’t mean Farage wasn’t part of the plot to topple Theresa May
"I've gotten pulled into the Brexit thing this morning with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, Bannon tells Epstein

"The guys are trying to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

2018. As Gill took the bribes

To knit together two stories: through intimidation, litigation & extortion, Trump is clearly trying to create a media ecosystem where nobody asks him about Epstein - or indeed anything discomfiting. It is appalling to see so many UK media individuals & institutions aiding & abetting his corruption.

This is Robbie Gibb’s BBC declaration. He says he owns 100% of the Jewish Chronicle. If that is the case, where did the money come from??

What potential conflicts of interests does he have? When is he going to answer these questions? And who is going to ask them?

See what’s happening. A Trumpist US media company has taken over Channel 5. Another US company is gunning for ITV. Our social media is saturated by Musk’s calls for civil war in the UK. The BBC is the last thing standing, and Trump/Johnson are trying to bring it down

I worked harder on this book than any before it. My ex-publisher then failed to pay me what they owed me for it & did their best to ruin its chances of survival. That robbed me of a year of my life & ruined my health.

After all that, to see reviews like this one brings me close to tears too.
Bloody hell! It’s been a long time since a book has brought me to tears. @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social Thank you so very much for writing Everything Will Swallow You. Book of the year. #BookSky #TheStorygraph

Important, timely, analysis by @lgilbert.co debunking the commonly used line that "migrants are a burden". Shows that migrants are overwhelmingly bet fiscal contributors. Basically, you target migration, you crash the country.

If you blame the crimes of British UK-born ethnic minorities on immigration, you're racist.

British Nationals aren't immigrants.
You can ONLY mean their ethnic origin.

The Huntingdon victims are still fighting for their lives in hospital & Matt Goodwin is using them for racism.
