Important point here that I made earlier today on @velshimsnbc.bsky.social as well: Trump purports to nationalize the Guard with no geographic limits. Today it’s LA, tomorrow ???
This is also unprecedented, even if they had tried to invoke the Insurrection Act. IA invocations have all been geographically tied; even Lincoln declared the IA to be in effect in the southern states rebelling. This is national and sets a dangerous precedent. 3/

It was very very clearly an ambush
Intentionally or unintentionally, the White House doing stuff like this is going to leave the impression that was an ambush, which might do even more damage to America's international reputation than what just unfolded.

Anyone else noticing their Google is bringing up an awful lot more FOX and other propaganda sites when they do a search for something political? I searched for "quotes about DOGE by democrat representatives" and my results were all right wing garbage.
