Or maybe Birb Bundy is waiting for you, above you, watching, singing his courting song and waiting for you to pass by his tree.

This revelation of bird knowledge caused me to think of the killer rabbit from Monty Python, and I was unable to behave like an adult as I pictured all sorts of murderous birb scenarios.

This evening I attended a lecture about birds wintering on Plum Island and learned about this adorable tiny creature. The Northern Shrike is terrifying. It impales other birds on trees for snacks later. Dude www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Northe...

So this triggered a childhood memory. I've spent a day re-reading "Ramona the Pest," by Beverly Cleary. In one chapter, Ramona is told by her teacher to 'sit here for the present.' So she does so, all day long, AND GETS NO PRESENT.

Hello! I am the Secretary of War! (Ok, Defense) There is a TOP SECRET weapon we have that can melt drones in the sky! It's very secret so what we're going to do is shut down airspace at a major state airport during school vacation week with no notice so we, too, can have have fun. Melting drones!

When did you last board a train, sir?
Markwayne Mullin defends "show me your papers": "If you're here legally, there's nothing to hide. Most people already are walking around with a government-issued ID, meaning your Real ID or your driver's license. If you go board a train here, you gotta show your ID."

It's a very sad situation but national correspondents playing Phillip Marlowe is always darkly comedic.

Props to CNN holding up a shrubbery and explaining what a shrubbery is to the audience and how this shrubbery is readily available in the area. Very helpful.

I read it's been so cold birds are dying of thirst. I've been leaving out a fresh bowl of water every morning. I have a new little winter wren friend who YELLS AT ME from my porch now demanding her beverage like I'm a bartender at the Black Rose on St Patrick's Day. Excuse me, ma'am.

He was wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. Authorities say he had been released from a hospital the previous day.

This is a diseased society.
