There was a time when there was a “ruins boom” in Japan. Bookstores were filled with related photo collections, and I remember buying some myself. Ruins somehow evoke scenes from the past, and I find their decaying appearance appealing.

I was left alone for most of my time growing up because they thought I was smart and capable and unproblematic. And then found it weird later when I struggled.
I had no mentor growing up my whole life. No one to guide me. I had to teach myself the hard way every step of the way.

Remembered the time I almost drowned in a crowded wave pool. Had I not grasped on the first float I saw with my last molecule of oxygen, I would have most definitely died that day. There's no way a lifeguard would've spotted my corpse under all those huge donut floats until everyone had left.

A lot of Stop Killing Games’ supporters seem to be the same ppl that go “If buying isn’t owning, then pirating isn’t stealing” aka ppl who don’t see anything wrong with pirating and aren’t consumers to begin with, but claim to be invested in anti-consumer rights. Don’t they just want free games?

Bluesky really is so refreshing compared to Twitter (constant arguments and warring. Amusing, but stressful), and Threads (a metric ton of bot and scam accounts).

It's almost a given that the AI-loving crowd would have a truck ton of bot accounts. It's the very tech they love, and there's a vested interest in making it seem like people want it.
If only there were ways to report accounts for being a bot.
