To the people who don’t want to use X rank as practice bc of ‘bad teammates’, yes we all get them, that’s how solo cue works, and tbh it’s a better ranking system than whatever ‘divs’ are.

Jokes aside, I think this is good evidence of why good gameflow logic and fast decision making makes k/ds irrelevant.

I think Punchy did a very good job at elaborating on not just splash, but most support shooters’ gameflow logic and priorities. To create openings with subs and specials and contest map control. Fully utilising the strengths of good paint and mobility. (1/2)

FINALLY, a guide for shooters. This is surprisingly rare.

If you want to win, you need to pick a good weapon. Simple as that. Weapons in Splatoon aren’t created and balanced equally.
Just saying this from the perspective of a top level player in a different game. Harsh but realistic.

My view on 'Teamwork':
Teamwork in the context of a team game is not about equality but rather a distribution of workload based on strengths and weaknesses.
I think it's important to keep this in mind while playing/vod reviewing since I see many players trying to cover every base at once.

If a weapon is not on the list, then it's either outclassed or I don't regard it as a support.

I really hate to announce this but I'll be stepping away from Comp Splatoon today. For the past 2.5 years, I've been playing Splatoon non-stop and I truly wanted to have think I'd bettered myself but I just ended up dissappointing and irritating lots of people.

I find the method of resulting sets to get into higher level spheres very cheap and unearned. Ppl be like 'oooo I beat this well-known mid/high level team 1 out of 10 times, 3-0 [team name] in sendou bio' its so dumb. Like it doesnt remotely reflect one's skill imo. (1/2)

After watching some Day 1 ver 10.0 gameplay, I can say that midline shooter players are winning big.
Pro is the only real missile support in S3 and ITS SO F*CKING GOOD
96 got dart but 190p cooler is dirt cheap
L3 is not as good but fun as hell FINALLY GOOD INKJET WEAP
H3 finally gets a good kit too
