My first post! Just listen to the tawny owl hooting in Greenwich Park, very close to Our Ladye Star of the Sea. #owls #Greenwich #Wildlife @rspb.bsky.social #GreenwichPark #Autumn
Today I spoke with residents on the Orchard estate in Greenwich. They expressed frustration over the pace of repairs services including poor cleaning of communal areas and lifts. They say they pay their rent & deserve better. I’ve been visiting this area for a few years & no improvement here 👇

Cutting bus frequency flies in the face of both RBG and the Mayor's ambitious traffic reduction goals. Southeast London with its already poor public transport infrastructure gets targeted by @tfl.bsky.social once again.

Another car shoe glide?’ We identified these parts sitting idle on a steel beam last June with nothing being done about it for months on the north side. We need a full investigation into this company called ‘Precision’.

Greenwich Foot Tunnel, an asset of historical importance and a vital cross river link for 4k users a day yet the lifts are unreliable & exclude a variety of wheelers, parents with prams & those less able to navigate over 100 steps on either side. Woolwich has the same issues.

Spot on “driving is a privilege not a right”

And massive welcome to Bluesky @andy-cox.bsky.social 👏
Commenting as Govt launch a road safety strategy.

Every death on our roads is unacceptable. We need a Vision Zero ethos: no deaths or serious injury. Change driving culture, reject speeding, use speed-limiting tech, strengthen sentences, end ‘accident’ language. Driving is a privilege, not a right.

This is great but it’s a shame commuters (4k users daily!) in Greenwich using the foot tunnels have to contend with unreliable lifts. Can’t the mayor take a serious look at renovating these vital cross river links, get TfL
to step in & manage them? Petition in the link: www.escalate-now.com
