Couldn't agree with this more! Sincerely wish it hadn't become a way for people to remember loved ones - there have to be better ways......(that goes for floaty lanterns too!) We can all protect nature by keeping balloons indoors only
Walked onto fell. Large balloon with tie attached wrapped around fencing post, could easily have killed a bird or animal. Now safely home in bin. Please don't release them, they land somewhere! Beautiful part of the world, keep plastic away @thenortherneco.bsky.social @durhamwildlife.bsky.social
