Q: Is it true?

The risks of standing up are real, but not as high as people seem to think (based on data).

The risks of NOT standing up are real, and higher than most people seem to think, both for themselves and for the whole enterprise.

Now more than ever, it matters!

@standupforscience.bsky.social
People were pumped to #StandUpForScience at the beginning of the year. I think for many that momentum has waned.

The Fear is credible, I feel it too, but something tells me that we need to break out of the mindset of "*I* will be spared as long as I keep my head down".

Thank you for your courage and leadership @jenna-m-norton.bsky.social

You have been an exemplary government employee, standing up against illegal and immoral actions, but doing so within the constraints of a federal official.

You do honor to your oath and to our country.

Courage is Contagious

It should be crystal clear to anyone with eyes and ears that Trump is DETERMINED to subvert free and fair elections in America.

But in America, state and local governments run elections. So Trump can kick rocks.

Still, ALL of Congress must be VIGILANT.
Trump: "These people were brought to our country to vote, & they vote illegally. The Republicans should say, we should take over the voting in at least 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting. We have states that I won that show I didn't win. You're gonna see something in Georgia"

And 71% of independents disapprove of Trump on immigration.

This is digging deep into Trump's base.

Precisely this.

It’s too classified to send to *some* members of Congress. But there are absolutely folks who are (or could be) cleared to be read in.

Even if it’s got to be a Gang of Eight only issue, send it to Congress.
I wish folks would quit reporting that it’s too classified to send to Congress. No it’s not. That is Gabbard’s EXCUSE for obstructing it.
