I'm lucky enough to walk often in my local woods. I record the changing seasons with a smartphone snap each time and have decided to post these here, rather than on Instagram, to add a bit of nature's beauty to the mix.

Enjoy your day.

If we're talking about bias, why do BBC politics programmes, from Politics Live to the Laura Kuennsberg Show, still always begin with a look at the newspaper front pages, which are overwhelmingly biased in one direction. Helps frame the entire news agenda and debate in their favour

People want to avoid ultra-processed foods. But experts struggle to define them
The evidence that ultra-processed foods are bad for us is piling up. But efforts to reduce their role in our diets face a big hurdle: experts can't agree on what they are and which to target.

Here’s the same data, but with trust broken down by political views (circles are trust among people on the left, +s the right).

It’s not just that the BBC is widely consumed — it also has solid trust on both left & right, whereas trust in the biggest US media brands is hugely polarised.

Quick thread on the BBC and the political and societal significance of recent developments:

One of the main reasons the UK has historically been so much less polarised than the US, is that Britain has a shared source of information, consumed and trusted by most people regardless of their politics.

The BBC should now broadcast Trump's entire speech, uncut, at a peak viewing time to show that he did indeed incite the mob to invade Congress.

🚨 ‼️ Russia seems to have a direct line of information to 🇺🇸 Gov databases, due to MUSK’s DOGE including energy & nuclear regulatory .

20 Russia logins using the new logins and passwords within 15 minutes of the DOGE changes.

And the witness whistleblower who saw it being done was threatened
Why isn’t this all over the news?

Big moment on CNN with Jake Tapper the NLRB whistleblower just dropped serious allegations about a DODGE Russia information breach. This is a serious national security threat!

One of the biggest problems with mainstream media is its regular platforming of lunatic people with mad ideas.

Particularly the BBC, which is meant to be about public education.

UK politics is broken in large part because we have lazy gatekeepers of MSM.

Which is why so many are turning off MSM.
This complete nut (Jo White mp) on #r4today reckons processing asylum claims in IRAQ - setting up offshore processing centres with British civil servants processing claims IN IRAQ is actually a sane or even money saving plan??? 🤯🤯🤯

Lost the plot entirely.
