Tried to go see the kiddo at college yesterday. Vehicle failure sent us back home at the halfway point and now I dont think I will see him til Thanksgiving and folks I hate this year and everything is just getting worse.

I am here to tell you. Pregame the prep for a few days. My doc gave zero instructions except for clear liquids the day before. Nope. Do yourself a favor and eat gently for daaaayyyyys before you go.
So. I am going through the rite of passage known as "the prep". I have ingested "the prep" and subsequent 32oz of clears. 13 minutes in and the sounds coming from deep in my belly are .... astounding and funny ... but omg ... I literally know where this leading and omg ... I do not wanna.

I have been stocking a pantry since November. Its a lot of pb and crackers and water but its a start
Every grocery trip, please add a pantry item or 2 to your list. Your personal stores are an insulator to inflation, shortages, dependency. I'm more than happy to talk about normal, non-conspiracy theory prepping, ask away.
Every paycheck, squirrel at least a little cash away for the same reasons.
