Every day, I am grateful my mom isn't on Facebook. We already have one parent who got caught up in a romance bot/scammer situation & I dunno if I can handle a repeat without shipping them all off to a convent.
We got my mom's ipad updated & working again, got all of the SCARY NEWS IS HAPPENING NOW! push notifications tamped down & blocked a lot of questionable emails, etc.
I'd set up filters for a lot of more obvious phishing attempts years ago & that was such a good investment in my time.

And I get so mad because her hearing is this way because a shitty employer abused my sweet mom by forcing her to share space with a hearing damaging dot matrix hearing.
They put it IN her cubical because it was "too loud" to be in the office. It ran 8hrs a day. They knew she wouldn't complain.

Fuck vanity. Get hearing aids as soon as you need them & it's feasible.

We got a 20 minute break in the rain, I ever spotted a little bit of blue in the sky & I got my outdoor chores done!
Now it's basically dusk out again at 2pm. Hates it! My body doesn't know what time it is! Sleep time? Eat time? Be active time? (Definitely not that one)
