Venomous, egg-laying, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed mammal. Wait, that's a platypus. Fan of compound adjectives.

I buy & sell antiques & vintage & am a hobby ceramic artist. Rural, progressive mom of 2 adult trans kids. Loves rocks & mushrooms.
My dad had a Baskin Robbins mocha blast every day "for his blood sugar."

I caught him telling a medical researcher that he had ice cream 2, maybe 3 times a week. I said "Dad, you have ice cream 2 times a DAY!" He pretended to be bashful about getting caught, but it was an obvious ruse.
Please admire my 88 year old grandfather’s grocery list

I am DEEPLY, DEEPLY in a Judy Garland hyper focus. Watching movies, reading biographies, watching videos about how a voice like her natural voice won't occur again in the era of auto-tune, because singers aren't training the same way anymore & voice personality is being "corrected" out in the studio

Absolutely heartbroken to hear of Oregon's Todd Snider's passing. This's a hard one for me. I always wanted Todd to have a season of ease

I hope he's sitting around a fire with Prine & Townes & Cash & Buffet & they are in the place where your best stories never grow old

Known for his cosmic-stoner songwriting and freewheeling tunes, Todd Snider's career spanned three decades.

What would you do with 6 containers of cottage cheese if you were given 6 containers of cottage cheese?

It's like I got a genie from Temu. Windfalls, but it's cottage cheese or onions.

One of the gift cards I got from donating blood was the exact cost of my crab Rangoon so basically I donated blood in exchange for crab Rangoon & I'm just saying, I think that could really take off as a promo

I'm not feeling good in my head/heart lately, everything's fine it's just I think too many annoying/disappointing things in the last 2 weeks + season/time change + I think I may actually need to donate blood less.

So today I'm exerting control over the things I CAN control.

So far I:

This barred owl is watching you to ensure that you do not buy Starbucks coffee during the strike. Owls have excellent hearing, so it'll know if you cross the picket line. And they fly nearly silently. You'll never know what hit you.

Okay hivemind! If you have a divided platter, do you prefer a one-piece design or do you like a modular design?

All of the modular ones seem to include a base/carrier, so I'm not sure it saves any storage space.

Pottery or Ceramics feed, which do you prefer making? Is one more popular?

The only thing that breaks containment faster than baby animal posts is soup posting apparently.

Y'all LOVE soup.

Ugh. Well I wasn't anxious until the girl called to schedule the follow up mammogram + ultrasound & it's not until right before Christmas & with a doctor.

Which makes sense obviously, but also... stupid dense breasts! Lol

I've made pozole, a slow chili & a quick chili, and now a hearty lentil soup in the last 10 days.

We're going to BECOME soup at this rate & I am ready.

Booooo, I have to go back for more imaging on my "EXTREMELY DENSE" boobs. Sorry my boobs were too dumb to pass their test, but you don't gotta be mean! ;)

Grateful the rad tech & my friend @nerdjoy.social warned me it's super common to get called back for more imaging on your 1st mammogram.

40 Acres is a really good post-apocalyptic action movie.

If you're into that genre, it's well worth the watch.

Black female lead AND you get to hear conversational Cree!

Well my little breasted friends, it is indeed more uncomfortable the smaller the breast but the tech really did a good job of moving along quickly. Not even enough time to think of England.

Just gotta surrender to being manhandled & it'll be over pretty darn quickly.
Whelp time to get ready for my first mammogram, yay.

I'm marching on with great resiliency & definitely not grumbling & pouting.

You know when they say you're going to "experience some discomfort", then it's pain? This was a rare occurrence where it stopped at discomfort

Definitely schedule around your breast tenderness if at all possible. They didn't mention it during scheduling & if I'd gone last week I'd have been crying
