Tex-pat living in Charlotte. Dog-haver and weird plane appreciator. Gig ‘em, go Gators, and up the Reds!
this is why I highly recommend the book Backyard Ballistics for anyone with kids aged roughly 12+

it’s all much safer than DIYing incendiaries or shooting fireworks at your friends, but you still get to use soup cans and naphtha to make a mortar that’ll launch tennis balls a good 50 yards
See this is why I never have anything for the fire/fireworks disasters episodes, I’ve got too many reps under the belt

and gentlemen, if you want to take me to the Ren faire and buy me a sword, my number is 972…
Offer to buy her a sword. Nobody doesn't want a sword. There are like 3000 date ideas WITHIN the renn faire too! Buy her some tomatoes to throw at the town fool. Nobody wants to fucking go hiking and drink IPAs all the time Braedon.

likewise quoting to emphasize: this goes for ALL your cancer screenings

mammograms are awkward as fuck, but if starting them at 33 helps me avoid a mastectomy, chemo, or radiation, then I’m all for it
I say this not to disagree with the person I'm quoting, but to emphasize -- the prep isn't even that bad! The whole process is reasonably easy and it is *absolutely* worth doing.
Please, please get a colonoscopy. The prep kind of sucks, but it's the best sleep you'll ever have. And it could save your life.

EXCLUSIVE: A whistleblower tells @thebarbedwire.com he spent years burying radioactive fracking waste, which melted the bones in his neck and jaw. Then a residential community — and an elementary school — was built on top. 🧵

“Four of my children just evaporated,” Badran said, holding back tears. “I looked for them a million times. Not a piece was left. Where did they go?”

There are no words to adequately describe the evil here.
Israel used weapons in Gaza that made thousands of Palestinians evaporate
US-made thermal weapons burning at 3,500C caused 2,842 people to "evaporate" in Gaza, Al Jazeera investigation finds.

we have got to come up with better names for electronic scammery

“phishing” sounded dumb enough, and “vishing” and “smishing” were worse, but the cybersecurity folks really outdid themselves (derogatory) with “quishing”

- Gruene Hall
- the Blue Ridge Music Center in Galax
- home games at App State and Western Carolina
- PVAMU-Grambling in the Cotton Bowl
- a Belgrade Derby at the “Marakana”
I would like to talk about something I enjoy

What musical or sports venues are high on your bucket list?

I really want to see a game at Washington-Grizzly or Husky Stadium, Indy 500 is a big one too

On the music side of things the Ryman has to be at the top of my list

GOT HER ASS
‼️‼️‼️‼️ Per reporters on scene, Leigh Wambsganss has shut down her party. She hasn't conceded to Taylor Rehmet yet, but apparently told supporters that “we’ll be back in November.”
Hard to overstate how big a deal a Rehmet win would be. Tarrant County is the epicenter of Christian nationalism in Texas, an incubator for far-right policies, and nexus of billionaire Tim Dunn's network, which is riding hard for Wambsganss. Rehmet almost entirely funded by donations of $100 or less
