Despite that some folks assume this was a bunch of white Christians regretting their vote, the church location was simply the meeting space. The crowd was a mix of all types of local folks who are ready to fight and hold ground.

Attended a fantastic kickoff meeting of @indivisible5al.bsky.social tonight. This area has so many great progressive groups who have been acting separately but tonight there were a lot of them in the same space and the vibe was extremely encouraging.

Once upon a time, I had the opportunity to hear Ray Bradbury speak at a local event. It was fairly close to the end of Bradbury’s life, but he was vibrant as he shared stories and reminded us all to embrace the adventure of storytelling.

Better yet, how about we help create avenues for those who can’t physically participate to access local activism? Most non-profits out on the ground can always use help organizing data or connecting to resources.
I have a small request. Before you demand someone take to the streets and protest, or try to publicly shame someone who is not at a rally today, please consider that they may have a disability that prevents them from doing so. 🙏💙
