Does anyone else hate the way Canadian political debates now are streamed with interpreters inserted over the original audio? My French is imperfect, but I like to be able to hear what is actually being said, ideally with subtitles to help out with any bits I don't catch.

Book recommendation: The Last Cold Place by Naira de Gracia www.nairadegracia.com I have been working on a fantasy story set on an island, and decided to model that island (loosely) after a real one far to the south. Naturally this requires research.

Danielle Smith's recent talk about a unity crisis makes it clear that if the Liberals win this election while a majority of Albertans support the Conservatives, she will see that as a mandate to push her separatist, Trump-aligned agenda.
