Cloud gaming will never be good, some latency will always be tolerable but the p90 latency will always be bad enough that you will constantly notice issues.
Not to mention the compression and terrible artifacting required to make it work.
At most local network streaming is possible

Honestly I like what mastodon is doing, but on a technical level the at protocol is just better than activity pub IMO. It’s more complicated but that complexity clearly grew out of a better understanding of how the protocol will be used. Mastodon is SMS and Bluesky is RCS.

When I first learned to program, I really understood it through the lens of programming languages. Now all programming languages just blur together for me and it’s more about the platform I’m building on top of (web, mobile, server, jvm, etc) as that dictates a lot more of what I can do

My other popular opinion is that in-app purchases fucked mobile gaming.
Yes, there are exceptions; I know them. But the whole “our game gets unplayable after a point unless you buy coins” thing just means that games are no longer fun and developers aren’t trying to balance playability any longer.
