54 years ago, the Grateful Dead launched a three-night run in El Monte, CA, a place I just had to look up because I had no idea where it is (just east of Los Angeles). This is a rare soundboard from fall/winter ‘70. Highlight is one of the few live versions of “Till the Morning Comes.”

i owe no small part of my career to these websites. They helped launch a wave of good sports media people (like real talented people, not me) and changed that world for the better.
the sports reference series of websites are some of the last good ones on the internet. they’ve never once changed their design to ruin it, have never hid critical functions behind a paywall, the stathead stuff they do put behind a paywall is incredible/worth charging for. i hope we never lose them
