I had a tape deck in my dorm room in college that automatically play the second side and I’d put this tape on and let it play for hours.

I was lucky to catch Bobby with moe. back in 2003. Jack Straw, Cassidy, Playin’, Saturday Night. The second set is pretty good, too.

The last time I saw Bobby was an acoustic set on a Sunday morning at Peach Festival. It was wonderful and I recall thinking that if that was the last time I saw him, it would be a good farewell.

Fair thee well, Bobby.

I ended the day by showing my sixth graders the Phish NYE 2025 dairy gag. They were amused. All in all, it was a good day and a good way to end the first week back at school.

Yesterday, I had two solid hours of intense dental work - lots of drilling and milling - and I followed that up by doing my taxes. I’m hoping for a better day today.

I see people rave about January ā€˜79 shows and I don’t get it because this time always seems like a low point to me. But, I’m going to try again, beginning here.
