Just an observation, when the smart people are almost, to a person, either reprehensible, self-serving oligarchs, or socialists who want healthcare, food, water, and shelter being acknowledged human rights, some people have *way* too much difficulty understanding the choice...

Being perfectly honest, they've outright said they would like to deport people like us.
And for the record, I was born here, have ancestry in some branches back to 1753 and in others that, no matter when you got here, were here to meet the boat.

More to the point, in what world does banning regulating anything make sense?
If there is an emergent societal need, regulate it to protect society. If there is not, don't.

So, Trump’s plan is to give a $2K one time payment to Americans instead of to insurance companies, but Americans are supposed to use the $2K to buy insurance from insurance companies.
