The US is de facto withdrawing from the United Nations - the UN should pull out of the US before it becomes official. I used to think it should come to Canada, but now I think it should settle somewhere in the global South.
The US has some of the world’s best climate scientists (and more of them than anywhere else) & has contributed disproportionately to understanding the climate system. It’s idiotic for the US to withdraw from the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change & the IPCC but it’s on brand for this regime.

In 2025, I still think the state of AI is: You can't replace any actual people with it, unless it's ok if the job is done poorly. Otherwise, you have to keep a human to monitor and correct the AI's output, which will usually be slower than the person doing their original job without AI.
