The AI companies are woefully underestimating what it means that an entire generation has grown up listening to "Taylor's Version", and that fans now know what it means to respect an artist's intent & intellectual property. They're not ready for Swifties vs. Big AI. www.anildash.com/2025/09/18/t...

I would read an academic murder book in which the murder was solved by reading the syllabus
I love this idea and also want a list of academic murder books. Please reply with recs
Hear me out: a dark academia murder book that opens at a department beginning-of-the-year celebration on a boat (I know a department that does this) and a professor goes overboard. The intrepid department chair must figure out who did it. Everyone is a suspect, including the chair herself.

I've been thinking a lot about the difference between doing a "search" and doing "research" and how that works with conspiracy theory/lies to control our public sphere. Here's an old thread from 2023

I've already sent Taylor Swift's letter about buying her masters back to every single one of my group chats. I am my community's Taylor Watch town crier.

To the world:
We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom.

A shocking number of people on the left think that they need to deny or ignore women’s oppression in order to acknowledge anyone else’s.
