We're back! We've teamed up with @cyclinguk.bsky.social for a Glow Ride on Friday 24th October. Like us, they want to see more women cycling, and for councils to provide more safe infrastructure to enable that.
Light up your bike with lights and sparkle and join us at Middle Meadow Walk at 7.30pm.

If you watched that abomination of Panorama last night, here's the reality of real legal ebikes and why people ride them safely.
This thread is for non-electric cyclists, or non-cyclists, who are e-curious or just don't see the point yet

Why is it that so many people are riding e-bikes now? After 10,000km on mine, let me explain what you may be missing out on:

Traitors fact that changes how you watch it. The edit is done in two sections. The first edit is of the round table. Once that’s locked, they go back and make the round table seem inevitable, by editing the day’s footage to set up what you see at the end. That’s why it seems narratively strong.

The one advantage of being tech support to the older generation is that it allows you to block the likes of Farage and such without them ever realising.

Out with the @infrasisters.bsky.social last night, campaigning for better cycle infrastructure for women. Riding along Grassmarket, conscious that we first passed the place where a cyclist was choked by an angry motorist, then the narrow crowded pavements where a pedestrian was killed by a coach.

One of the great things about Twitter, and now 🦋 is that someone can repost a thread on something completely random yet completely interesting.
Ea-nāṣir is the recipient of the world’s oldest complaint letter. He’s reportedly the worst businessman of the 18th century, a mediocre conman whose actions should have him put out of business. Is this fair?

Here’s a thread on the most up-to-date research on this captivating figure.
