“Alligator Alcatraz” is a concentration camp by every definition, and just like in Weimar Germany it is unlikely that immigrants are going to be the only group that end up in the camps. Anyone who studies history has seen where this train ends before.

The nation's fifth most populous county, San Diego, just chose its political future today—and appears to have chosen to have a Democratic local government—and it's crickets everywhere. Quite the eye-popping example of the NY/East-Coast-bias of how elections get covered.

I know I'm not the first person or even the millionth person to point this out; it's not even the first time *I* have said it, but this is what actual First Amendment violations look like and the fact that none of the supposed free speech warriors are saying anything about it tells us everything.

Interesting how this could be spreading due to climate change, and in areas that have gotten drier. Kind of evokes those Interstellar (movie) dust storms on earth.

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.

An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

Fuck off if you don't actually want to defend the country and just want to suck up my tax dollars in a cushy job.
