People who followed me on Twitter may have noticed a change in the content I post.

I no longer work for a Labour MP so I feel I can be more of a critical friend to the party.

If you only want to see loyal support for Labour then I'm not an account you'll want to follow.
Anyone fancy a Bugering?

Disability Labour - the Labour Party’s official disabled person’s affiliate organisation - has issued a statement that the government’s concessions are insufficient and is calling on all MPs to vote against the benefits Bill on Tuesday

108 absolute heroes. This is the Labour Party I know and love. Thank you to all who have signed 👏

One reason the revolt on disability benefits is looking so substantial is the line being used to defend it lacks any integrity.

To claim that the purpose of cutting PIP - a non-means tested benefit - is to help people back into work requires saying something untrue.

A brave decision that is very much appreciated by those of us potentially affected by the proposed benefit cuts. Thank you 👏
(1/2) With a heavy heart, I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as a whip.

Whilst I will continue to support the government in delivering the change the country so desperately needs, I cannot vote in favour of the proposed reforms to disability benefits.

Everyone bangs on about the two child limit but those of us who are exempt from that (kids born prior to 2017) are absolutely hammered by the benefit cap. When my grace period on UC ends I'll lose £933.20 per month. Yes, you read that right. Please can we campaign to scrap both.
Charities say chancellor Rachel Reeves’ first spending review fails to tackle child poverty as the two-child benefit cap remains.

This brings back memories of staying over at my Nana's on a Friday night. She let me stay up late so I could watch That's My Boy and have a glass of Advocaat as a treat. Different times!

Long walk yesterday along Cleveland Way from Scarborough to Hayburn Wyke waterfall. Navigating all the death stairs was worth it for the stunning views. Then walked back along the cinder track to Scarborough. Not quite as scenic but no death stairs to contend with!

It is fascinating the way you can take money from hungry children or disabled people without consequence, but try to limit the amount that goes to rich pensioners and everything implodes.

Keir Starmer’s senior team has been discussing for several weeks how to handle public anger over policy which bubbled over at local elections.

Hi Labour, rather than learning all the wrong lessons from this election defeat - what about taking some people out of poverty and improving some lives?

When covid hit, my ex had a home office and I had to use one of the kids' bedrooms before setting up a desk in the main bedroom.

Since moving out, I spent the last 3 years WFH sat on my bed with a laptop. I don't have a dedicated space to eat and live let alone work!
