My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

republicans get: government reopens and party avoids political consequences for refusing to make health care affordable
democrats get: seven beans, an old case logic CD wallet (empty), a coupon for 15% off Busch Gardens, one spiced pumpkin scented candle, a 6-pack of Zima

Congress dropped a so-called "minibus" deal to end the 40-day shutdown but it's a surrender disguised as progress.
It funds veterans and agriculture but abandons the 20 million Americans who rely on ACA subsidies for health care.
A Band-Aid won't fix a bleeding nation.

I’m very mad and I do feel that not getting any meaningful concessions on subsidies feels like a cave
but millions of people are starving and that’s just one reality of the trade offs that republicans are WILLING to make
it all sucks. living under autocracy sucks.
