Lots of meaty papers from Tim Smithson's festschrift. In addition, we contributed a little paper on a lungfish otoccipital from the early Mississippian of Nova Scotia. Nothing fancy but it shows affinities with groups previously known only from the Devonian.

New paper day! From Conrad Wilson's MSc comes the description of the back of two ray finned fish skulls. These show that in the earliest Carboniferous aged rocks at Blue Beach, Nova Scotia, there was a mix of ancient forms and more advanced fish known from younger rocks. #vertpaleo #paleontology

Bio, PFP, banner, and post at least 5 to 10 things. **Turn off NSFW filters** in *Settings > Moderation > Content Filters and *Settings > Moderation > Advanced > Bluesky Moderation Service*. **Find your friends** from the hellsite using *SkyFollowerBridge.com*. **Follow a few feeds** related to your interests. Some generic feeds: - *Catch Up*: kinda like a “best posts of the week” - *Only Posts*: to see no quotes/reposts, only new posts from those you follow - *FollowersLike*: to discover random things your followers recently liked **Turn on “Show Posts From My Feeds”** in *Settings > Following Feed Preferences*. This will sprinkle random posts from your feeds into your main Home feed. **Block often.** Don’t interact with trolls, don’t quote dunk, comment, nothing. Earlier this year, @arvalis.bsky.social commissioned me to build a muscle model of a Komodo Dragon.

Lizard anatomy is well studied, but many resources are hidden in literature often unknown/inaccessible to artists. The mission was to make an idealised, artist-friendly reference for lizard muscles.
