Had my last meeting as the first Chairwoman of the Federal Communications Commission today. Made me think of this photograph of telephone operators. It was what women used to be able to do in communications technology. We have come a long way, but it is so important that the first is not the last.

When you get an emergency notification on your phone it should be in a format you understand. The FCC just made it possible to get these warnings in more than a dozen languages—and American Sign Language. It’s going to help more people in more places stay safe.

Ready to go with the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark. Because we all want the internet connected devices we bring into our homes and businesses to be secure.

Proud of the work the FCC did to make this happen.

Thank you to NASA and especially Administrator Bill Nelson. He’s been a great colleague, a supporter of my efforts at the FCC to build the first-ever Space Bureau, and a terrific long-time public servant.

At the FCC we launched the first-ever Space Bureau, rethinking and reimagining how we approach space communications. Got to talk about that yesterday with satellite folks and U.S. Space Command. Ad astra!
