There’s an administration-wide campaign to censor and control.

The weaponization of the FCC’s licensing authority is just another part of that dangerous effort. #NABShow

I’m sorry to see Commissioners Bedoya & Slaughter treated this way.

They've demonstrated unwavering dedication to public service and deserve to continue serving as Congress and the law intended.

We all have a duty to keep speaking truth to power and to stand firm in our beliefs.

I’ve visited local TV and radio stations across the country. Broadcasters are already telling their reporters to be careful about how they cover stories because they fear government retribution.

The FCC should help expand access to information, not restrict it.

Seeing reports that the FCC plans to take a vague and ineffective step on Section 230 to try to control speech online.

So, I thought I'd offer some thoughts on why this Administration's war against the First Amendment and Americans' free speech rights is going nowhere.

The FCC should not be in the business of controlling access to vital local information.

Instead, we should focus on protecting and expanding the public’s ability to receive timely, accurate news without political interference.

The real targets of the FCC's partisan investigations are the local broadcast stations that serve local communities.

That's why I visited CBS Miami, which serves as a valuable resource for seniors, veterans and residents to receive lifesaving information and local alerts.

Ranking member @raskin.house.gov, @nadler.house.gov, and @democrats-judiciary.house.gov are right.

The FCC is being weaponized to intimidate newsrooms and silence independent media.

It’s time to end these partisan investigations.
Raskin: "Trump is suing CBS for $20b in damages because, check this out, he believes an interview with Kamala Harris produced too favorable an impression of her. That means I could sue Fox News because I think their interview with Trump produce too favorable an impression. I mean, this is lunacy."

The transcript and footage of the CBS 60 minutes interview provide no evidence of an FCC rule violation.

I see no reason to continue pursuing this investigation.

The FCC should now move to dismiss this fishing expedition to avoid further politicizing our enforcement actions

Let's be clear. This is a retaliatory move by the government against broadcasters whose content or coverage is perceived to be unfavorable. It is designed to instill fear in broadcast stations and influence a network's editorial decisions.
