Start organizing and gathering in your communities. You’re going to need each other in more ways than you know.

Can anyone explain to me the divorcee-to-life-coach pipeline? It’s a thing!

Lesson from corporate media: Joy Reid takes the fight to Trump and his white supremacy every day and gets cancelled.
Morning Joe went to Mar-a-Lago after election to suck up to Trump yet his show continues
Terrible news: MSNBC is cancelling my friend Joy Reid's show. It's reportedly part of a shake up at MSNBC. She is a unique, powerful voice who has always taken the fight to those in power. But big corporate media outlets like Comcast never likes that. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/23/b...
MSNBC Cancels Joy Reid’s Show in Major Shake-Up
Ms. Reid’s 7 p.m. program will be replaced by a panel show co-hosted by Symone Sanders Townsend, Alicia Menendez and Michael Steele.

A lovely convergence. My new novel Fallout and my republished novel Forged in Grace are both out (shortly) in overlap. I’ll take any joy I can get. Links to order in bio.

When your book club surprises you by reading YOUR book 😍. Fallout is an eco-thriller about women rising up against corporate power, destruction of nature, complexities of motherhood, perimenopause, and so much more.

I highly recommend writers conferences—at the #SFWC2025, I connected with old friends, made new ones, heard incredible speakers like @tommyorange.bsky.social and met both my publishers (runningwildpress and @sibylline.bsky.social in person).

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

So Target got real comfy thinking us millennial moms won’t take our basic girl bits to Costco & Aldi after they cut DEI programs to satisfy the new administration.

Big mistake. Huge.

Okay “Kelvin” I see you. You can’t hide, Kevin! I know you’re obsessed with me. Just give me a share of your movie royalties, and it’s a deal.

Yes you can tune out of the firehouse of awful for a few days even weeks. No, it’s not wrong to focus on what gives you joy or meaning. Sips, not gulps. Pace yourself. Nourish. Rest up, then suit up as my friend Kerra says!
