It should terrify everyone that a green card holder was black bagged and disappeared to Louisiana simply for having opinions this administration dislikes. They're building the prisons and camps to do it to citizens. The time to stand up to this is now.
Until last night, the ICE detainee locator stated Khalil was at Elizabeth, NJ—even though his wife had been unable to find him there yesterday. This morning, his location has been updated to Jena — a very remote, GEO group-run facility in the middle of rural Louisiana.

1000% ive been screaming about this for years. every major us city has a social media account on a meta platform dedicated to hypersensationalizing crime, often making up stories completely to fit prejudice. many are run by cops or people with connections to law enforcement
There should be a greater exploration of the elevation of viral racialized crime content on these platforms, as well as major corporations blaming shoplifting to cover up poor business decisions, and how that fits into this anarcho-capitalist, VC/tech privatized cities project.

The thing about Ginsburg is that the long tradition for justices is that they strategically retire when they can be replaced by someone ideologically aligned with themselves. She was a selfish and short-sighted person who refused to do that, and had a fan base that pretended this was good.

So to summarize, according to #maga, any Black, gay or trans person who achieves any position, no matter how degreed or credentialed they are is an unqualified #dei hire. And any white person, however unqualified or even sketchy is inherently qualified when they get a job. Do I have that right?
