I’ve spent a huge amount of time since the start of 2026 working on book design for @shirakipress.com, and while I’m immensely proud of these results, it’s also one of the scariest things I’ve ever done! 😨

Doing It Scared
I never would've gotten into book design if I hadn't done it scared.

Only deeply sick societies spend obscene amounts on chains, cages, walls, and all-seeing cameras as opposed to stuff that fosters beauty, joy, health, people who can think, and a natural world capable of sustaining it all.

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

“DHS is shutting down because it refuses to obey the law” is excellent framing
DHS is shutting down because it refuses to obey the law. They are tear-gassing schools, killing American citizens, and disappearing legal immigrants. Democrats shouldn’t fund an out of control ICE.

this is comically evil. brazenly anti-social. just absolute black-pilled nihilism. we will not have a republic, we will not be free, until we regulate these companies to the point where — at a bare minimum — they're too afraid to put stuff like this down on paper.

I built the new website for @shirakipress.com on Shopify, which I've been very impressed with. It was a heavy lift to set up, but it's solid, powerful software. The theme editor is a straight-up VS Code project embedded right in the browser FFS! It's wild!

hey, this might sound a little freaky, maybe even a little radical, but I think the focus should be making sure writers/artists are properly compensated, supported, and have a secure way of living/creating instead of trying to replace us with robots, and/or having us train them.

‘Imprison all women’ may sound outrageous. But all of the horrors that are routine today started out as some ghoulish guy being allowed to say stuff like this without being beaten with hammers.
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

He still has scars, months later.
