condemnations of political violence are well taken but it does feel as if some
prominent political commentators are of the view that violence isn’t a part of the history of American politics and that is very much not true.

@dieworkwear.bsky.social I just want to say thank you for recommending Town View Moccasins. Got the deerskin lining and they feel great out of the box. Nice thick leather and clean stitching as well.

I found this reply interesting ("Can those foreign companies open shop in the US?")

I don't think Japanese or South Korean menswear can be made in the US. At least, not without losing something. Let's explore why. 🧵

Jeff Bezos appears to be wearing the wrong waistcoat for his wedding. This is a dinner suit (aka a tuxedo) and thus requires a dress waistcoat, which is cut lower on the body. He's wearing a business vest, which is designed for business suits. Needs a formal waistcoat like the one on the right.

seems like trump mainly uses “low IQ” to describe black people. of a piece with his birtherism and his insistence that there are specific, low-wage “black jobs” that must be protected from immigrants
I listened to President Trump call Rep. Jasmine Crockett a "low IQ individual" and I realized I had heard that before, so put the question to ChatGPT.

These people who want manufacturing jobs back in the US have never worked in mfg. They're low wage jobs with bad working conditions and work/life balance. US workers have enjoyed good high income work like infrastructure, engineering, and science jobs for decades. Trump killed those.
