Neighbourhood health teams are in the news again today, set to be a central part of the forthcoming NHS 10-year plan.

These services work best with rehab at their core, and AHP leadership driving them forward.

The number of people waiting for MSK services continues to rise.

The number of people waiting more than a year for rehab is also going up.

Lives being ruined, people falling out of work, health inequalities widening.

Good work by @davewwest.bsky.social digging into the stats.

Right, here's an update on the community health services waiting list - that's the one govt is largely ignoring, axing the national objective to cut it last month.

Data to December shows another rise (c2,500) in kids waiting a year or more for help, small fall for adults (c.200)

Properly fund services for the work they are commissioned to do. Invest in workforce expansion /planning and be proactive as opposed to reactive. The only way to cut waiting times is fully staffed services of the right establishment numbers to see pt’s in a timely manner.
