At a time when health systems are under more pressure than ever, real transformation depends not only on strategy, but on confidence – confidence in leaders at every level to drive change and confidence from the public that services are built with them, not just delivered to them.

Today we have joined with @nhsproviders.bsky.social to call for additional funding for the NHS at the Budget next month to ensure services can deliver the best possible care to patients in the face of three unplanned cost pressures:
1️⃣ Redundancy costs
2️⃣ Ongoing strike action
3️⃣ Higher drugs prices.

Our chief exec, @confedmatt.bsky.social spoke to BBC Radio 4's Broadcasting House this morning about medicines pricing. He was clear that any new deal the government strikes with pharmaceutical companies must be paid for with additional money and not from existing budgets.
