Swordsmith Max just found out he’s a single dad...of a five-year-old. His uptight new neighbor, Grace, teaches piano & likes to nitpick. Opposites-Attract. Enemies to Lovers. And yes, there are dinosaurs in the holiday pageant! 🦖 A CAPE COD HOLIDAY Winsome Cove Bk 2 #romancelandia amzn.to/3W5kxWX
Himself as we (two alpha control freaks) crawl into bed, exhausted: We just hosted a terrific Thanksgiving dinner without a hitch AND without a fight. Neither of us even raised our voice—not even a dirty look! Maybe we’re finally figuring this out.

Me: I hope so, after 30 YEARS of marriage.😜

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 🦃 The bird is cooked (we slow-roast overnight), and the house is almost ready. 🧹 We’re hosting a true Friendsgiving today, with old friends (40+ years) and new. 🩷 No one has to drive far, but we’ll keep an eye on the weather—the wind is howling. 🌬️

I always experiment a bit with my boiled cranberry sauce. It was too sweet, so I put a tiny dash of cider vinegar in it, and now it might be too tart, but hopefully it will sweeten as it sits. 🫣 If not, I have some fancy maple sugar flakes I could sprinkle on the top… Thanksgiving stress already! 😂

Got an alert that someone was at the door and discovered this…🤣 He was looking for a spot to stash his nut for winter. #squirrel

No matter how long I live after we get through this dark chapter, I will never get over the immorality, the amorality, the corruption, the criminality and the cruelty in service to one of the worst humans to ever walk the earth.

We’d like to end today with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:

We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it as not as dreadful as it appears, discovering that we have the strength to stare it down.

Just keep going. Goodnight, heroes.

When holidays collide….😁 The dining TABLE is ready for Thanksgiving (we’re hosting friends), but the dining ROOM is definitely giving Christmas vibes! 🦃🎄

This thread is a lovely little timeline cleanse. Just people sharing cool facts. I smiled through the whole read.
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share

U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas, nooses as hate symbols
The military service, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, has drafted a new policy that classifies such items “potentially divisive.”

Hey I just want to remind everyone that even if vaccines did cause autism (they don’t), they also cause ALIVE CHILDREN, and if you don’t think an alive autistic child is something to celebrate, please fuck off into the sun forever
The U.S. government is now inarguably spreading medical disinformation that is going to kill babies preferentially.

Period.

This is an INTOLERABLE. UNPRECEDENTED. DANGEROUS. ATTACK. ON ALL OF US.

I got home this afternoon and asked my husband why the house was so cold. He shrugged, but said yeah, it was a little cool. The temp was 63. 😳 The thermostat was off and said “low battery.” I replaced the thermostat batteries and magically, we had the heat that he hadn’t even missed. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

While I can't see the lights through the snow clouds tonight, I'm so happy for everyone who can. The first time I saw them many years ago, they were brilliant reds (I thought something was on fire nearby!) and greens like tonight's pictures, and I still get emotional at the memory. Enjoy!

McGovern: Seriously, we were worried. We actually started handing out missing person posters. Nobody has seen you for eight weeks. But, hey, I'm glad that you are ok. I'm glad you survived your nice, two-month paid vacation

A month later, my 20lb blanket is gone. I put a fleece blanket on my half of the bed. It was warm enough but...I was still craving at least a LITTLE weight. So one night I threw my long chenille robe over the fleece and it was just enough. Looks weird, but makes my robe easy to grab in the morning!
For the past 2 years I have LOVED sleeping w/my weighted blanket. It’s like a heavy hug. I don’t use it in the summer because our room is very warm. So last week I put it on the bed, and…I hate it now? 🫠 I feel claustrophobic, like I’m trapped, and I finally had to remove it at 2am this morning, 1/2

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

The Dems who are caving are doing so not because their base wants them to,

not because the voters want them to,

not because the fed workers and SNAP recipients want them to…

they are caving because their DONORS want them to.

And that’s really all that ever matters to the corrupt

I wrote to my senators (including Schumer, God help me) and told them that ANY compromise at this point would be a complete slap in the face to the people who worked and fought so hard to win elections for Dems just DAYS ago.
I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.
