No, the US really won't.

Because at some point, military commanders are going to want Congress to weigh in before they start WW III.

And that's what happens if we strike Iran.

It goes downhill from there.

Good for Mamdani.

Every American has a right to criticize Israel and a duty to call out genocide.

We even have a right to antisemitic hate speech.

Zionism is fascism and genocide.

Nobody has to like these facts.

I certainly don't.

MAGA has convinced Democrats to support the 2nd amendment, with Trump's campaign of violence and intimidation against blue cities.

How do we get MAGA to support the 1st?

That's more difficult, as the movement is explicitly anti-journalism.

They only trust guys walking around filming daycares.

As I learn more about Japan's Shinkansen bullet train system, I understand why California -or any other US state- likely will never build a high-speed line.

And really... shouldn't.

The tracks require a tolerance of .01 mm on the top.

Which necessitates an insane level of engineering prowess.

If facts won't convince them, logistics will.

The fact remains that machine counting ballots is inconsequential to the results, if the ballots are saved. They can be recounted and the election can be audited by 3rd parties.

It's not complicated at all.

If we’ve learned anything these past few years, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers
3) Poverty is a policy choice
4) Health care is a human right
5) Strikes work

Let's keep fighting for a better world.

I was on EBT for years and I don't think people should ould be buying sodas, candy, ice cream or anything else that isn't food.

HOWEVER, this -like all MAGA policies- is meant to further stigmatize poverty, not "Make America Healthy Again".

A lot of schadenfreude on here about farmers "getting what they voted for/deserve."

From people who don't grow a single bite of the food they, their families & pets eat.

It's not funny or meaningful when uneducated people get conned.

It's honestly troubling how often the church that supposedly serves God, seems more like it serves Satan.

It's not just the catholics, and it's not just christianity.

Hierarchical religion is evil.

Maybe it wasn't always.

Concept for an artisanal fusion pizza with North Indian flair:

"Naanza"

The size of pies would be limited, due to the crusts being pre-baked in a traditional tandoor oven.

But with the right sauces and topped with fresh paneer cheese, it would have lines around the block anywhere on the globe.
