This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

when you are petting a cat and the purr descends in register from “love it” to the louder slower “oh hell yes now that’s the stuff” purr, that is a blessing in this world

It used to be that the United States would use Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty to transmit truth across the borders of repressive regimes.

Now the work of American reporters, having been censored, is being smuggled across the border to reach Americans.
The 60 Minutes piece on the Trump Administration’s torture prison that Bari Weiss doesn’t want you to see has leaked.

Fink of woodlice, Beach Crow tells me. Curled up beneath old leaves.

They celebrate midwinter wiv Queen Deepdream Chigglepea.

Who doesn't bring 'em presents, but ancestral memories.

Of sweet drifty weightlessness far under long lost seas.

Beach Crow watches ten Saint Nicks burst jingling from a pub.

Got a Crowmas fella too, she says. Frostfevver Huggermug.

Drops sparklies from nightskies for us. Like secrets, savvy, luck.

Cos there's many winter spirits, luv. For birds. And beasts. Or bugs.
