"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Benjamin Franklin
Really glad to consign this whack job to the dustbin of history. Congratulations, Crazy Lady Who Refused To Do Her Actual Fucking Job, you accomplished nothing with your life. How does it feel?

It's like those 8 Senate Democrats just couldn't stand Mamdani or Sherrill or Spanberger taking up all the headlines. Damn you, WE will reclaim the news cycle! It's like someone thinking a rival is getting too much attention at a party and deciding to shit in the punch bowl to get eyes back on them.

Encouraging even MORE ATC to quit, that'll sure improve things!
In a new post, President Trump makes various threats and promises to air traffic controllers who have very, very difficult jobs and hold the safety of air travel in their hands.

My God

They're consigning people to death to score political points.
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"

They're just rubbing our faces in it. The entire Democratic caucus is rotten. Primary everyone.
KILMEADE: Schumer says he's voting no. Did you do this outside leadership?

SHAHEEN: No. We kept leadership informed throughout.
November 10, 2025 at 2:44 PM
The current Democratic leadership structure and most elected Ds in Congress are rotten, useless, and need to be removed from power quick, fast and in a hurry. They keep doing this, they keep using the suffering of ordinary people as a weapon to keep their shriveled hands on the wheel of power.

Just one more "fuck you" from the party of "fuck you."
of all the things about this deal that are pissing me off this might have pissed me off the most

These eight people should never know a minute's peace in public again. Crowds of protestors should just follow them constantly jeering and banging pots and pans. Make it impossible for these folks to dine out or show their face without the din of the general public telling them how much they suck.
EIGHT Senate Democrats have voted to advance the funding measure so far after the deal was reached:

Cortez Masto
Durbin
Fetterman
Hassan
Kaine
King
Rosen
Shaheen

If the existing 52 Republicans hold, that's 60 — enough to advance this agreement. Final vote still to come.

Hey @senangusking.bsky.social if you lack the courage to represent your state in a co-equal branch of government, it's time to step aside and let someone with the guts you lack to take over. Fuck off.
Sen. Angus King: "Standing up to Donald Trump didn't work"

This is who the Ds rolled over for, a hapless old man who's more hated than he's ever been. It's like the Ds that caved are jealous of all this negative attention and wanted some for themselves.

They're either 1) stupid or 2) think we are all stupid
Reporter: What do you say to your colleagues who say this isn't a fight, this is a capitulation?

Shaheen: We have a guaranteed vote by a guaranteed date…

Reporter: There is no guarantee that this will become law.

Shaheen: There was never a guarantee that it would be become law.

Yeah just like with the SNAP ruling on Friday night, ordinary voters won't think this. And when ordinary voters demand to know which side their particular elected Democrats are on, don't wonder why. And if next year ends up seeing more low turnout by D voters well, don't wonder why that happened.
Now for some levity and logic based in facts.

So he's not just dumb and weak, he's incompetent.

Anyone talking themselves into some kind of scenario where this ACA vote passes is kidding themselves or lying. It doesn't have a chance in hell and the cynical pricks caving for this promise know it too.
"More than enough" Senate Democratic Caucus members to pass shutdown deal led by Shaheen, King and Hassan, source familiar with deal says

- CR through Jan. 30
- ACA bill vote on bill of Dems' choosing in December
- Minibus has RIF reversals and "protections" against them in future

Starting to think I could talk Schumer out of his bank account and penthouse for a wad of pocket lint.

Senate Ds about to own goal all the enthusiasm coming out of last week and making sure all the R gerrymandering and troops in the streets have the intended effect next fall.
If you need confirmation Senate Democrats are fucking this whole thing up here you go. Excellent way to destroy the enthusiasm with huge Dem wins throughout the country up and down the ballot that were not even one week ago.

What stage of MAGA fash is this? Insisting states literally yank back food from needy people? It's said "the cruelty is the point" so much that is a cliche but how much more clear can you be than this? And ofc there's no mechanism by which to do this because WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU HAVE THAT??!
Yikes. USDA sent threatening letter to states telling them that if they sent out EBT money —which many states did during the window when a lower court said SNAP funds had to be released—they have to take it back (?)
Trying to sort out what this means and if states even can claw back the funds

And watch how the media and punditocracy will just not address WHATSOEVER that the guy who won by 1.5% on immigration and economic issues is underwater on both and back to where we dug out of on this stuff. Zero recognition of the depths of their failure. No acknowledgement or apology.
U Michigan consumer sentiment fell to 50.3 in preliminary November data. That is just 0.3 higher than the low point of the Biden administration, 50.0, in June 2022 at the peak of the inflation surge. Down 29.9% year-over-year. www.sca.isr.umich.edu
