Not really much to tell. Political Science Professor specializing in American politics. I have a about 18 books that remain in my mind and have not made it to paper print or Internet.
I think the anti-ICE movement should expropriate the “jack-booted thugs” term invented by the gun lobby in the 1990’s. Now, the term is appropriate!

Claiming Bad Bunny’s halftime performance was the worst ever is quite a stretch when you think about the numerous times Up With People was featured.

So, Trump is auto-penning his Truth Social posts. Somebody ought to look into that.

It’s easy to focus on the act of arresting journalists for covering newsworthy events, but the real indication of fascism is the process used to do so. An AG ordering arrests is beyond indicates that another wall has crumbled beyond repair. If they ever make it to trial, all rule of law is gone.

I continue to believe that the fastest way to get Stephen Miller fired is to convince Trump that Miller's ICE operations are what cost him the Nobel Peace Prize.

I suggest that monitors need to invest in 8k video cameras with 24x zoom so that we can test the hypothesis that videotaping the paramilitary increases the likelihood of being shot. Keeping distance helps control for alternate (ludicrous) explanations for the shootings. They cost less than phones!

You know we are all screwed when Tom Homan is being sold as the calming and steady guide for this regime.

Apparently, Scott Bessent is increasingly assuming the unitary executive role. I am sure he fancies himself worthy of a protagonist in an Ayn Rand novel.

If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.

The People’s Laundry will drop off laundry to your door to wash and dry and pick up a few days later:

“YOU hit HER.”

CHICAGO - Trump’s ICE goons ram into a passing car after snatching someone, then brutally drag the female driver of the car they hit out of her car with guns drawn and arrest her too. (Her brother says she’s a citizen)

I guess Marco Rubio will now be instructed to make sure Nobel Peace Prize Committee members will no longer be permitted to travel to the U.S.

In my daily rumination of things, I would never have to experience in my life, I never thought my physical well-being would be a concern when I engage in peaceful protest, marches, or demonstrations. Thanks for another restless night, Herr Miller!

I just saw a clip of ICE guys strutting around Chicago. Maybe Pete Hegseth should focus on those guys, who make my body seem typical!

The Secretary of DEFENSE does his best Doug Niedemeyer, ordering generals to focus and crushing all enemies, and then the mentally problematic commander in chief tells them they are going to face enemies in our own cities. This is downright scary.

Time to raise taxes on the top 10%. Disney, and now even minor league baseball teams cater to the well-off. Sad.

I wonder whether it is significant that since January I have bought a solar panel to charge my trusty camping battery pack, a fair amount of of canned protein, pasta and powdered peanut butter, and emergency water purification products…and not for natural disasters…

Let’s not forget that all this redistributing nonsense would not be possible without the agenda of the Roberts Court. Although Rehnquist began it, Roberts perfected the green light to partisan gerrymandering.

The real narrative of the recent NY Dem mayoral primary is an uplifting buddy movie about a Muslim guy and a Jewish guy who want to shake things up in an effort to save the city from its recent history of corrupt and/or incompetent leaders. Mamdani & Lander have both deservedly elevated themselves.
