As a little kid this was re-runs of the 60’s SPIDER-MAN (IN COLOR!) I would see a few minutes each day on cold mornings between the time I was ready to go and the time I needed to catch the bus. I recall it as bombastic, surreal, colorful, unintelligible, mostly flashing lights over still drawings.
What tv show y’all used to wake up to get ready for school?

I know that BlueSky gets a lot of flack. From me included! It’s too woke. Nobody gets jokes. Politics. But this might be the only app in which I could say this and someone would actually respond: Thomas Ligotti is the Tim Robinson of horror. Tim Robinson is the Thomas Ligotti of comedy. Discuss.

A 2025 movie things thread:

The first movie I watched in 2025 was THE GUYVER, which is more or less a gritty, body-horror-forward version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I know I would make a great grandma because I am 100% certain that hot and sour soup will cure a cold despite this belief being something I made up myself without the benefit of theory, evidence or testimony.

Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.

The guy who directed the prison arc of ANDOR also directed a truly delightful Doctor Who A CHRISTMAS CAROL Christmas special, and if you’ve read this far and you haven’t seen it you should give it a try.
