It just occurred to me >10 years later, Lindsay's boyfriend in Arrested Development S4, Marky, portrayed by Chris Diamantopoulos, was so perfectly cast. The character is approximately homeless and the actor looks approximately like Tom Jane. Callback!

If "girl dinner" is a reasonably balanced and calorically appropriate amount of food from many sources (eg. 12 grapes, a handful of almonds, 2 sticks of celery, a bit of cheese, 6 slices of salami) I posit that "boy dinner" must come in a single package and be enough to feed 4 (eg. one large pizza).

New job, making 401(k) elections, choosing where I want the money invested. None of these "well-managed" funds perform as well as an S&P 500 Index. Soooo... put all my money in the S&P 500 Index please. 🤷‍♂️

Actually, now that I think on it, torching Cybertrucks on the dealership lot is probably a better deal for Tesla than letting them continue to sit there unwanted and unsold. Arson might earn them an insurance payout. People can't even unload their barely used ones for a loss right now.

Democrats constantly say things like “We are tirelessly striving for a return to the conditions that led us here” & they wonder why people are either disengaged, outraged or just hopeless.
Schumer told Annie Karni and Luke Broadwater: “Here’s my hope … after this election, when the Republican party expels the turd of Donald Trump, it will go back to being the old Republican party.”

The thing about the Newsom podcast is that it feels like breaking kayfabe. It's the heels and faces of the upper levels of power having dinner together after the match, sort of giving away the game that they've got the same ultimate goal: working the marks

Please clap.
a close up of a cartoon character with a fist in his mouth .
Alt: Goku in one of the earlier DBZ episodes. His face is all scrunched up like he's pooping, then he screams and explodes with power. His aura is a fiery red. He screams something not explicitly subtitled in the gif (it's almost definitely "Kaio-ken") but I like to imagine he's saying "LET'S FUCKING GO!" He zooms off into the sky.

If you study history, you learn that fascism is practically always a reaction to and perversion of liberal democracy. Fascism is melanoma; democracy is our skin.

We are way past the point where a little sunscreen will stop the disease from killing us. Dem leaders need to get out the scalpels.
