Some photos from this week, a beautiful pink sun coming up outside my bedroom window. Gleta (Icelandic horse) and her pretty dun stripe and tail. The last photo is Gord inoculating maple logs with Shitaki mushroom spore. We will also have lions mane and chestnut for many years with 22 logs.

I’ve been transitioning from being a meat eater to vegetarian to almost vegan for many years. I do eat eggs, but I know where they come from and the chickens are free and well cared for. It feels great to eat a meal and know that no animal suffered to put food on my plate.

I’m not much of a baker. I can bake, I just find it’s too time-consuming and I always gain a couple of pounds because I have no willpower. But I’m doing some Christmas baking today - shortbread and molasses cookies. I have an awesome collection of cookie cutters for someone who doesn’t bake.

This was always the funniest conspiracy theory to me — that there are MRI machine-like devices that can cure all known illnesses in seconds, but the government has been hiding them — and Trump just posted an AI generated video of himself announcing they're real. We're cooked!
