CDC was gutted today, entire departments wiped out, including much of the global HIV program. Career scientists and doctors lost their jobs overnight. This isn't just bureaucracy; people will die from preventable diseases, and public health will suffer for years. A massive step back for science.

We need some better language for pushing back against what the administration is doing. They’re not “ending DEI.”

No. They're firing women and people of color in the military.
They’re forbidding whole fields of research.
They’re erasing trans people from existence.

Remember the NAMES project, which commemorated all the people lost to AIDS?

I want a NAMES project for all the talented, qualified, patriotic organization leaders Americans are losing bc they aren't white, or aren't male, or aren't able-bodied.

We should know their names & remember what we lost.

The power of propaganda
“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

Trump supporters regret voting for him? Nope. Canadian MAGA fans rethinking their support? Also nope. Even when his trade wars kill jobs & bankrupt farms, they'll keep blaming everyone else. Don't wait for them to grow a conscience—just vote for the sane alternative.

Sure there are legitimate critiques but this is not about critiques. It's about supercharging capitalism's culture of uncare.
