Watching Democrats once again on the cusp of unnecessary capitulation, I’m reminded that the January 6th Senate impeachment trial was truncated because members had Valentine’s Day plans

Just curious if we are also going to get a story on the white supremacist accounts the Vice President of the United States follows.
James Talarico, a Texas Democrat running for U.S. Senate who has put his faith at the forefront of his campaign, follows several adult film performers, escorts and OnlyFans models on Instagram, according to an Axios review.

James Talarico has become a sensation in Texas politics by talking about how his Christianity is the basis for his progressive politics.

UPDATE: Justice Jackson temporarily blocks SNAP benefits order to allow appeals court to rule.

DOJ asked SCOTUS for a stay as USDA was in the middle of completing its process for making full payments. Jackson's order came a little past 9 p.m.

So to cap their horrible week, Senate Republicans refused a deal to reopen the government in exchange for just helping people with health insurance and now the president wants the Supreme Court to say he doesn’t have to obey the law and feed the hungry.

Amazing.

I have always been pretty up on pop culture, but I guess with everything happening *gestures broadly everywhere* that's fallen by the wayside. Kim Kardashian is on a show with... Glenn Close? Glenn Close!

Every single constitutional amendment on the ballot in Texas passes, enshrining "parental rights" in the state constitution and making it easier for Greg Abbott to pack the state commission that disciplines judges, as well as tax breaks for "border security infrastructure."

A major hallmark of authoritarianism is the targeting and suppression of political opposition
I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.
