I wonder if they considered this when they decided to close the churches. As US membership continues to freefall, I would hope/expect that they could have included the faithfully in the process. Even if the outcome were the same, transparency and inclusion could have made it more palatable.

Since I've joined @bsky.app I have tried to find my construction peeps. They aren't here because they voted for Trump. Now, they get to find ways to run their businesses without workers. Can't wait to hear them twist themselves in circles trying to blame Dems for problems they caused!
ICYMI: I asked the 10 biggest homebuilders in America to comment on plans for mass #deportations. Nearly one-third of the construction labor force is made up of #immigrants. Only one wanted to comment - sort of.
The US is short millions of housing units. Mass deportations could make it worse.
Immigrants make up a significant portion of the construction labor force. Deporting them could have devastating consequences for the housing market.
