Why doesn’t anyone tell Donald Trump that invading Greenland is a harebrained idea?

The simple answer: He has surrounded himself with cowards and sycophants.

Whatever you think of Powell’s interest rate policies, this is a highly commendable move. Standing up to a tinpot president. Putting some of the business community to shame.

This is the sort of statement that was expected from every university president and law firm partner over the last year. That those statements weren’t made played a huge part in where we are now and people will remember.
Jerome Powell: "This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions—or whether instead monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation."

We’ve seen eight straight months of manufacturing job losses, the same eight months since Trump began his tariffs.

This is not a coincidence. It is the direct result of reckless policies that hurt working Americans.
The US continues to lose manufacturing jobs—payrolls are down 81k over the last year, & another 5k jobs were lost in November

Transportation (especially auto manufacturing), wood, & electronics/electrical manufacturing are the biggest losers, but few subsectors are doing well

Told ya

Big Oil has half a trillion dollars invested in infrastructure for West Canada oilfields. That's where they went after Venezuela nationalised their oil.

The Keystone Pipeline *alone* runs over 2000 miles from Alberta to the Gulf Coast in Texas!

Venezuelan oil competes with that investment

Republicans wouldn't let Jack Smith testify in public. Instead they did it behind closed doors and released a transcript and video on New Year's Eve, hoping few people would notice.
They think it’s smart politics, but I think it’s one more attempt to cover up treason. History will agree with me.
