@mrjamesob.bsky.social hi James, genuine question and apologies if you’ve addressed this previously, do you have any regrets about interviewing Bassem Youssef last year? He actively pushes 9/11 conspiracy theories about Jews now?

Levy had a hungry young manager, a once in a lifetime forward and several other highly talented players. Arsenal were years behind. He could have dared to do but he chose inaction. We’ve gone backwards ever since and Arsenal are now years ahead. He’s shown us who he is. He will not change.

No exaggeration to say I’ve never seen Porro do that for us

If only we had had experience of this last season so we could have prepared better for it in the summer window…

know too that ENIC have run out of said slack. They need to start behaving like a serious football club. Something that they have repeatedly failed to do. Sacking another manager isn’t the answer. And unlike previous recent manager this guy isn’t looking to burn the house down around him. He would

I don’t fully agree just yet but the big thing I’ve realised isn’t even the players he’s up against. It’s the coaches, when he’s managed in the other leagues he’s the best, now there’s guys managing Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford who are at least as good as him before you even get onto the big clubs
Thoughts from outside the echo chamber.

And an increasingly common view amongst us paying punters.

This
I don't want it to happen, but he's getting canned soon. Then we'll hire someone else and not back them properly and sack them. Again.

I get this but we can’t just keep going on about stats when the evidence of our own eyes says otherwise. Nobody watching that game today can say Chelsea didn’t deserve to win

Sick of fans being blamed for 'a lack of mentality' when we've watched this happen dozens and dozens of times since the stadium opened, and the club are only making the squad weaker. Look at what he's been left with here. Rabble of thickos

I don’t want it to happen, but we’ve all seen this before and Ange will be a lucky boy to see the year out as manager. Left the guy with a weaker squad than last year

I fully agree but I also know if we lose badly tomorrow he is not our manager next week. Boos and Daniel Levy will make sure of that
Don’t usually comment on other teams but if Spurs sacked Ange I think it would be a huge mistake.

They have an identity and some problems to solve. Time and purchases could solve the problems but the identity he has is perfect for Spurs

We have to stick with something. We can all agree that when it goes right with Ange it's like none other. It's the inconsistencies and long periods muddling through 3day matchdays.

It's a reflection of the club as a whole. Every player in the squad knows they're not going to be upgraded

I love him but I’m really not sure we should be giving Sonny that new contract

Looking at the squad tonight makes me realise how short we left ourselves in midfield in the summer. It was 100% the right decision to move on PEH GLC and Skipp but they all filled in and played decent minutes last year. We haven’t replaced any of them for that with more games

That pass from Salah was ridiculous. Don’t think I’ve ever seen city look so terrified

This, utter madness
The idea that the squad could compete on four fronts with just one senior signing last summer is, as usual with Levy, bordering on negligent.
FT 1-1. Some boos at the end. Interesting game I thought. Spurs not at their best, didn't do enough to win. Really missed Solanke and Kulusevski. Could have asked more questions against 10 men. Looked a bit leggy after Thursday night. Fulham pretty good. Forster and Davies were good, saved Spurs.
